For the days you can't get on a court
You know the feeling. It is raining, or the courts are booked until Thursday, or it is 11pm and your hands are still itching from a match that ended 11–9 the wrong way. You want one more game and there is nowhere to play one.
VS Pickleball is for exactly that moment. Open the page on your phone or laptop and you are serving inside ten seconds. No sign-up, no app store, no download, nothing to pay. A quick singles game against the computer takes about three minutes. A tournament run takes a lunch break. Then you close the tab and get on with your day, itch scratched.
Pickleball, not tennis with a green ball
Most “paddle sports” games on the web are tennis in disguise. Someone swaps the ball color, shortens the court a little, and calls it pickleball. The kitchen is missing, or it is painted on the ground and does nothing. Serves bounce like a fuzzy yellow ball. You can volley from anywhere. If you actually play, that gets old in about two rallies.
So this game keeps the rules that make pickleball its own sport. The court is 20 by 44 feet. The non-volley zone is seven feet and it is enforced: step in and volley, you lose the point. The net is 36 inches at the sideline and 34 at the center. Serves are underhand and diagonal. The return has to bounce before anyone volleys. Points are rally scoring to 11, win by 2. The dink, the third-shot drop, the patient kitchen-line exchange that suddenly turns into a speed-up — all of that is here, because the rules that create it are here.
What you can play
Singles against the computer on three difficulty levels, doubles with an AI partner against two, a local 2-player pickleball game on one keyboard, or a single-elimination tournament that climbs from a Thursday club ladder to a pro final. You can build a player, tune six stats, change kits, and pick an indoor or outdoor court. Normal is meant to be beatable once you stop hitting everything down the middle. Hard will make you earn the kitchen line.
On a keyboard it is WASD to move and Space to hit. On mobile it is drag to move and tap to hit, with the camera tilted so the far court stays above your thumbs. Always free
The game is free and stays free. There is nothing to buy, no premium tier, no energy meter, no locked modes. Your kit and tournament progress stay on your own device, not on a server. Free browser games sometimes carry advertising in the side columns to stay online; if that ever happens here, it will never sit on top of the court or the swing button, and this page will say so.
Who makes it
A small independent project by someone who plays and got tired of the tennis clones. There is no studio name on the door and no fake company page. The court, kitchen, and two-bounce rule follow USA Pickleball geometry, but this site is not affiliated with USA Pickleball or with any tour, paddle brand, or club.
