Privacy policy
VS Pickleball is a free online pickleball game that runs in your browser. There is no account, no login, and no player database. If you close the tab, the match is gone. A few preferences stay in your browser so you are not resetting the tournament and your shirt color on every visit. This page explains exactly what that means, in plain language.
The game writes to localStorage on your device. That data is never sent to us. Right now it includes:
Clearing site data for vspickleball.com in your browser deletes all of it. We cannot restore it because we never had it.
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details. We do not run an account system, a leaderboard, or online multiplayer, so no gameplay data leaves your device. The only measurement we run is the aggregate analytics described below.
Like almost every website, our web server and Cloudflare (our CDN and DDoS protection) keep ordinary access logs: IP address, time of request, page or file requested, browser user agent, and referring page. These logs are used to keep the site online, diagnose errors, and block abuse. They are not used to build a marketing profile and are rotated on a normal schedule. Cloudflare’s own handling of this data is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and game modes people use, so we know what to fix and what to build next. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that hold a random identifier, and reports page views, approximate location derived from your IP address (which Google truncates and does not store), device type, and referrer. We do not send names, emails, or anything typed into the game, because there is nothing of the kind to send. Google’s handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or any content blocker; the game works exactly the same without it.
The game itself does not set tracking cookies beyond the Google Analytics cookies described above. Cloudflare may set a small technical cookie (for example to distinguish real browsers from bots) that contains no personal information. If advertising is enabled (see below), the advertising partner may set cookies as described in that section.
The game is free. To keep it free, the site may display advertising in the columns beside the court through Google AdSense or a similar network. Ads never sit on top of the court or the swing controls. When ads are shown:
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland will be shown a consent message before any personalised ads load, and can change their choice at any time. Non-personalised ads may still use cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention.
The pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files from Google’s servers, which means Google sees the request the way it sees any file download. Google Analytics is loaded as described above. No other third-party scripts are loaded unless advertising is enabled.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request — everything the game stores is in your own browser and under your control. If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, California, or another region with data-protection rights and believe we hold something about you (for example in server logs), email us and we will respond within 30 days.
The game is a sports toy in a browser and is suitable for general audiences. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent and think a child left data here, clearing the browser’s site data for this origin removes the local kit and tournament save.
If the way data is handled changes — analytics, accounts, advertising — this page gets a new date at the top and the change is described here. Continuing to play after that date means the new version applies.
